What Can a Progressive DA Do About Death by Incarceration?

  • Arch Street United Methodist Church 55 North Broad Street Philadelphia, PA, 19107 United States (map)

Organizer description:

A forum with Progressive DA Candidate Larry Krasner and families of lifers and juvenile lifers. Pennsylvania has the second highest number of people serving life without parole sentences in the country and the largest number of juvenile lifers in the world. What can a progressive DA do to end mass incarceration and life without parole sentencing (aka death by incarceration) ? Come out to ask questions and dialogue with DA candidate Larry Krasner and find out!

Important Note on Prioritizing Voices of Lifers and Lifers Families: We welcome everyone to be a part of this event, but want those most directly affected to have priority in asking questions of Larry Krasner. If you don't have a direct relationship with people serving life without parole sentences (family members, friends, etc) we ask that you concede seating and physical space plus speaking room to those that do at this event. We are all stronger when we support each other.

Important Note on Individual Cases: Due to the nature of the office Larry Krasner is running for he cannot discuss individual cases especially ones with open matters before the court. Everyone is invited to ask Larry questions about his thoughts on policy, his platform, what he thinks about the DA's office, the other candidates etc. However he cannot discuss or entertain questions about specific cases.
