Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals Joins Growing List of Organizations Supporting Krasner in DA Race

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Civil rights lawyer Larry Krasner’s campaign for District Attorney announced today that it has won the endorsement of the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals. PASNAP represents over 6000 nurses and healthcare professionals who live and work in Philadelphia, including many newly organized union members.

“PASNAP is excited to support to Larry Krasner for DA. Larry shares our values and will use the office to fight for justice for everyone, regardless of race or wealth or status. He is not a politician who will prioritize corporations and business interests over everyday citizens,” said Patty Eakin, RN, the union’s president.

Philadelphia District Attorney race goes national with support for Krasner from Democracy for America, Our Revolution, Color of Change PAC

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Philadelphia’s District Attorney election arrived on the national stage this week as the progressive grassroots group Democracy for America (DFA) announced its endorsement of civil rights lawyer Larry Krasner.

In backing Krasner, DFA joins Our Revolution, which evolved out of the Bernie Sanders campaign, and Color of Change PAC, the political action committee affiliated with the national civil rights advocacy group Color of Change. Both groups announced their support for Krasner on Thursday.

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Color Of Change PAC, the political action committee affiliated with the national civil rights advocacy group Color of Change, has put its support behind Larry Krasner, the civil rights lawyer who is running for the Democratic nomination for District Attorney of Philadelphia.

Larry Krasner’s campaign for Philadelphia District Attorney picked up a major endorsement today from Our Revolution, the progressive political action organization that spun out of Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign.

“Criminal justice reform relies on grassroots efforts and cooperation with the state actors who decide what is or is not a crime and who will be or who won’t be heard,” said Executive Director Shannon Jackson. “Philadelphia voters have the opportunity to be heard in this election, and Our Revolution is honored to endorse a candidate that’s been listening for the last 30 years — Lawrence Krasner.”

The list of groups supporting Larry Krasner’s campaign for District Attorney was joined today by environmental advocacy organization Food & Water Action Fund, the political advocacy organization supporting the educational work of Food & Water Watch.

“Philadelphians need a District Attorney who will protect our community from environmental criminals, and Larry Krasner is the candidate to do that job,” said Sam Bernhardt, Senior Pennsylvania Organizer for Food & Water Action Fund in a press release. “The movement to resist the regressive Trump administration must begin close to home."
