Sherrie is running for Municipal Court to transform “eviction” court into a court that honors housing as a human right, and to transform criminal punishment court into a restorative justice court.

TANEISHA HENRY

Taniesha Henry is a Philadelphia Native, educated mostly by the Phila Public School system,including graduating from Bryant Elementary, Hamilton Middle, and Girls’ High. Ms. Henry was instilled with the duty to serve others in her early childhood, assisting with a Shelter that her maternal grandparents served. Her commitment to serving communities expanded when she lived overseas in St. Michael, Barbados, as a teenage Missionary. Committed to seeing others thrive, she has provided both legal and non-legal services to organizations, various religious institutions, and individuals from various states across the country. Dedicated to others, her entire legal career has been in public service, including serving as a Court Mediator, an Assistant City Solicitor, litigating hundreds of trials, fighting for youth & families, a Judicial Law Clerk, where she drafted every Judicial Opinion, all of which were upheld on appeal, and as Hearing Officer (formerly known as Master), where she presided over hundreds over matters, issuing orders and outcomes that benefitted everyone by turning the litigation into a conversation. Ms. Henry is truly someone who is for everyone.
